[Chapter 9] Bathwater

 Okay, so pairings in this story are Zero x OC, Kaname x Yuuki, Sayori x Kain (DEAL WITH IT, I don't like Aidou x Sayori), Takuma x Sara, Ichiru x Maria and more will be mentioned later on.

Mia sat of her bed brushing her hair in her thigh length robe on her new bed that Toga demanded she get if slept in Zero's room. She was thinking about the events that happened the past week, she spent time with her newly found uncle Toga Yagari. Toga would walk in town with Mia, talking to her about her parents and what she was like when she was a child. Toga could see Hanako in Mia's face and presence & Ryuu, his brother, in her high spirit. Her uncle told her about Zero when he had him as a student, & how he got the eye patch. Her heart ached as she re-heard the story of Shizuka Hio from Toga's point of view. She remembered meeting her, the night she died. Weeks before Shizuka had taken over her distant relative Maria Kurenai, and worked with Zero's twin brother Ichiru Kiryu. She remembered that night & wanted to forget it so badly.

Mia knew deep down inside when she heard Shizuka Hio died; she knew that Kaname had something to do with it. He seemed a little unusual after her death, more odd than he is sometimes.

The Council of Elders believes Zero killed her, and is ready to punish Zero anytime when they have full evidence. Mia stared at Zero when he told her, he might be executed for a killing he didn't do. Her eyes filled with tears and ran to Zero, and hugged him as they both banged into a wall. She couldn't have Zero killed for something he didn't do. She prayed every night that the Council of Elders would realize they are wrong about Zero.

A click of a door, Mia turned her head and brushed away up coming tears to the person entering the room. Zero walked in looking exhausted and upset. Mia walked to him and hugged him tightly; he slowly hugged her back and buried his head into her bright red hair.

"Mia..."

"Zero, I know I've-"

"Mia, I'm putting you through some much."

"I don't mind, it's better than being a runaway orphan stealing food from villages and living in trashcans."

"But you don't deserve someone like me, you deserve something that actually like be there and isn't going to be executed."

"YOUR NOT!" Mia yelped in his shoulder. "I'm not letting you get killed by some bastard vampires that think that you're a killer but you're a gentle, sweet and loving man. You don't deserve someone like me, you should have better." Zero felt tears running down his shoulder and chest.

"Mia, I absolutely want you to-"

"No Zero let me finish. The last couple months I've spent with you and Yuuki, and my uncle are the best times I've had in my life since I was young. It's been a long time since I've been happy and I want to see you smile more often. I wanted to see Yuuki happy too, you've seen her lately, and she is totally out of it.  & I want to see Kaname seen for what he is."

"Mia, I want you to be happy too. I've been so happy with you. I remember when Toga told me about you one day. He told me how much he missed you, and how beautiful you were. I told him and vowed to him, if you were alive I would protect you."

"You...did?"

"Yes. I'm not really keeping my promise."

"Zero, you are. You have protected me."

'Mia, I've been so tied up with-" Zero was caught off by Mia's warm lips. Warm tears stained her lips as she pressed them to Zero. Zero wrapped his arms around her and they both fell onto her bed. Zero pushed off of her and Eskimo kissed Mia and looked down at her clothing questionably.

"Oh, I was going to take a bath he he" She laughed nervously because of the loose fabric that held her body from being naked in front of him.  Zero smiled and put an arm under her and lifted her up. She stood on her feet and walked to their bathroom. Mia looked back at him and asked, "Do you want to join me?"

'Well- I- we're not gonna d-d-do anything-g right?" Zero blushed at the thought of him and Mia naked in a bath together.

"Like what?"

"Like...uh-h-h well I guess"

"Like sex?" Zero gulped and turned red to the word.

"Um-m-m yea"

"No! Silly, just a bath." She smiled and left the door open from Zero. He heard the water running and Mia's footsteps and the sounds of a bottle emptying. He stripped as he walked to the down. When he enter the room he was in his dress shirt and boxers, he froze when he saw Mia in the bathtub with her red hair tied up and bubbles covering her up to her collarbone. Her eyes were closed and she was humming a tune to herself. Zero hide his smile and fully stripped and joined in with Mia.

'So warm" Mia moved her back towards Zero and lied in his lap.

"I hope we can do this again."

"Me too Zero"

Warm kisses and gentle touches ran through the night. Zero caressed her neck as he felt his blood lust grew a bit, among other things.

"Zero?"

"Mhmm?"

"Do you need blood?" He nodded against her neck but told her he could get tablets. Mia being Mia had told him to have some of hers.

"I'm fine."

"If you say so Zero~" She sang and dived more into the water and bubbles, pressing herself to his front.

"What a relaxing night..."

Zero hand onto Mia's hand as they walked to the front of Cross Academy. Last night relaxed him from the stress any 17-year-old shouldn't go through. Kaien Cross asked them to help with killing of Level E's with Toga Yagari and some of the Night Class. Zero, hating the Night class, was first reluctant but Mia bride him to do it for another night like before.

"I wonder where we're going today." Mia thought out loud.

"I don't care but if that Aidou touches you, I'm going to beat him to-" Zero stopped as warm lips touched his cheek.

"Calm down, I wont let him. But I like you when you talk dirty." Zero turned to a shade of red that matched Mia's hair color.

"Talk d-dirty?" Mia laughed and tugged him to the small group near the gates of Cross Academy.

There stood Aidou whining about something to Kain, Takuma & Ruka with Shiki & Rima under an umbrella, Toga standing with Yori (Sayori). Mia smiled and ran up to Yori and her uncle.

"Morning Yori, you too Uncle." Toga patted her head and ruffled her hair.

"UNCLE?" Aidou yelped.

"Uh yea, Toga is my uncle..." Mia and Toga both looked at each other and gave confused looks.

"But-how- there's- wait-WHAT!" Aidou stood in front of Mia and Toga pointing a finger at them back and forth. Kain sighed and pulled back his cousin.

"I'm sorry for my cousins..." Trying to find the word.

"Stupidity?" Toga finished for him.

"Childish attitude?"  Mia asked, receiving a pat on the head from Toga and a faint smile from Zero.

"Yea pretty much." Kain said with no emotion. Yori giggled at Kain. He turned towards her laughter and smiled at the golden hair girl. Kain knew of Yori, she wasn't there to see the Night Class but Kain came across her sometimes. He heard Aidou talking about her and became more charmed by her.

"Alright where are we going?" Mia asked getting everyone's attention.

"Cross said it was at St. Helena's Orphan House. " Toga read from a paper, Mia stood frozen at the name.

"Mia, what's wrong?" Zero shook her shoulder a bit.

"That was...my old home..."

[Chapter 8]  Scare.

(Okay, I added in a scene from the beginning of Vampire Knight into this chapter but this story takes place around the time Yuuki reawaked.)

The breeze hit Mia's bare legs at she stood guard at the Moon gates. Her vibrant red hair blew in the wind as she watched the Day Class students swoon over the Night class. Yuuki was having a difficult time dealing with them, and the girls on Zero' side were stiff with fear. Mia is so use to everything in the Cross Academy; everything was like home to her. Headmaster Cross's odd obsession of getting Zero, Yuuki, and herself calling him father, Yuuki's bright lovely smile, the naïve Day class girls, Hanabusa s little flirting now and then, Akatsuki's casual ruffling of her hair, Rima skipping over to her and giving her pocky, the odd glances she got from Ruka, the very abnormal cheerful and enthusiastic behavior from Takuma, & Zero.

Mia enters in her own world when she thought of Zero Kiryu. Zero put on the front that he didn't like anyone and he was a cold person. It was true that Zero didn't really like that many people; he only liked  Mia, Yuuki, Toga Yagari, and sometimes Headmaster Cross. But Mia knew of Zero's kind warm-hearted side, it was rare to see it in public.

'Mia..." Zero said, standing behind her.

"Mia..." Yuuki said too, a little louder. Zero got tired of repeating her name and grabbed Mia's sides and turned her around and yelled.

'MIA!!!" Zero shook her shoulders and yelled in her face, inches from her face.

"Morning Zero!" She beamed her lovely smile that Zero adored.

"Come on you two, Headmaster wants us!" Yuuki yelled at them as she walked in the Academy. Zero looked around for anyone left around outside, then turned back to Mia slightly smirking.  Mia looked at him with a confused look on her face. Zero wrapped his lanky arms around her shoulders and leaned into her. She responded by intertwining her fingers in his hair and pressing her moist lips to his. After a couple seconds they pulled away from each other and Mia looked at him with the same confused look.

'What was that for?" She questioned.

"I didn't get a good morning kiss."

"You seem more happy than usual"

"That's not normal for me?"

"Not really, while not in public, but."

"Are we in public?" Mia looking around her and Zero.
"Not really but..."

"Come on, Headmaster needs us" He said tugging on her hand to the building.

{Fast forward}

After listening to Zero ramble about how he cant stand be a Perfect and how he felt he was being a bodyguards for the Night class, Headmaster Cross went on his lecture of how much he loved Mia, Yuuki and Zero.

"You three are always helping even if you hate it or get tired of it. If I can leave it to my cute son & two loving daughters, my heart will never be troubled by it!" He yelled almost jumping over his desk to them but a loud slam stopped him.

"I know I was raised by you, but I don't remember ever becoming your son!" Zero slammed his fist into the desk, slipping in the middle.

"You pay too much attention to detail, Zero." Headmaster Cross said.

"Oh! I am not a Cross!" Mia added in.

"Zero, Mia calm down!" Yuuki smiled and patted both their heads.

"But anyway, I want Mia & Zero to go to town and find some Level E's that the Vampire Hunters Association sent to me. Yuuki has to stay here on patrol."

"Yes Headmaster." Mia & Yuuki bowed. Zero stood tapping his foot then got hit in the ribs by Mia and sighed in defeat, bowing as well.

{Fast Forward}

Mia walked happily in front of Zero. The warm wind brushed against their faces and they walked in front of the mansion they were sent to. The mansion had beautiful stature even with broken glass windows and the gloomy aura it had around it. Mia lightly pushed the gates open and walked through them as Zero followed. Mia's red hair danced in the wind as the doors to the mansion opened and wind came rushing past the couple.

"Smells old." Mia said, twisting her face in a disgusted form. Zero held in a laugh, but froze as Mia placed her warm hand on his cheek. Zero turned his head towards Mia, seeing her lovely smile and gave her a confused look.

"You should smile more often Zero, & laugh more, it makes you live longer." Mia caressed his cheek and blood rush to his face. She slips her hand into his and forwards up the steps. The cold from Zero's hand seemed to melt as Mia wrapped her warm hand in his. He watched her carefully was she dragged him around the mansion, watched her eyes scan for any unusual activities, the way her body swayed as she walked. Mia stopped when they both approached a wooden door with spider webs over it.

"You open it." Zero nudges her.

"Nah, you're the stronger one!" She poked him and pushed him at the door.

"Fine, I will." He gently pushed open the doors. The room they walked in was a large bedroom with vintage feeling to it. Zero walked to the large window and Mia walked around the room, dragging her finger against the dusty furniture. Mia heard footsteps behind her, thinking it was Zero.

"Whatcha think about this, Zero? Sense any Level E's?"

In return on her question, a growl came behind her and hot breath went down her neck. Mia turned around and saw a tall man with red glowing eyes.

'My, my, what do I have here?" The man said. Both Zero and Mia reached to their weapons but the Level E somehow grabbed both of them and slammed them into the bed and stood over them with a sick grin.

"HAHAH! Two of you? Perfect! I've been starving!" They both felt helpless and without any weapons to protect them. The Level E head to Mia first and she shut her eyes closed and Zero went to grabbed the Level E but the ex- human had a hand tightly around Zero's neck.

"You have to want my boy..."  Zero could only grasped for air and growl at the Level E.

"I want to taste the pretty girl first."

BALM!

The sound of a gun shoot through the room and the Level E fell the ground in piles of dusk. Zero and Mia glanced at each other in relief and smiled as they relax. They looked up and saw Toga Yagari, their teachers and Zero's "master".

"Sensei Toga, what are you doing here?" Mia said, brushing the dusk off of her.

"I am a vampire hunter after all, Mia." He looked at her differently then usual. Zero stood behind her, asking if she is okay and she replied "as always".

'Did Headmaster Cross send you Sensei?" Zero looked at him confused.

"No, I heard you two will be here."

"We could have handle it on our own-OW" Zero rubbed his side at Mia elbowed him.

"Come on you two." The three of them walked outside the old house and walked around the village. Zero walked to a small fruit stand and brought a couple things as Toga & Mia waited for him. Mia noticed Toga looking at her oddly.

"Sensei Toga, if something wrong?"

" Mia, I wanted to ask you, who are your parents?"

"My parents...? Okay my mom was Hanako and my dad was Ryuu. Why?"

Toga stared at her. Mia was going ask him again what was wrong but she stopped as Toga pulled her into an embrace. Mia stood stiff in her teacher's arms.

"Sensei..." She looked up at him confused.

"Mia, I haven't seen you since your were young." Zero stood next to them confused

"What are you talking about Toga?"

"Mia, I'm your uncle." Toga said loud enough for them both to hear. Mia & Zero were wide eyed and speechless.
"Uncle..."

This isnt probably what you think...

Today in school we had a Asian Heritage day, with kids with Asian background performed. I thought it was amazinggggg but most of the kids were laughing and joking the ENTIRE TIME! It was a beautiful performence, and the people at my school cant relieze(sp?) that. I mean have alittle r e s p e c t, I dont care if you think its boring. My school is filled with people that have no respect for anyone, then act totally shock when someone acts alittle rude to them. Most of the kids in my classes are the ones that are staying back, is it me or am I stuck with the totally suck-ish classes? I.cant.wait.till.this.school.year.is.over! Can summer come any quicker!!!!!

[Chapter 16] Help Needed.

The breeze brushed across Francine's hair, she watched over the flied in the back of her school. She stood on the rooftop of the school, skipping class. Gerard hadn't shown up to school that day, he texted her the day before he wouldn't show up. His been sick with the cold, he ran home in the cold rain and been sick since. Francine dressed herself in faded black jeans, a black long sleeve shirt, a dark gray tank top underneath and black boots that ended a little under her knees. She always dressed dark but lately her clothing has expressed a slight depression. Mariana has commented it about it before but Francine just replied " I always dress like this" Francine's bony fingers toyed with the lace headband in her hair that Gerard have given her from Christmas. She missed the smell of Gerard, the smell of coffee beans & fresh smell of body spray.  The sweet tasting kisses he gave her in the morning outside of school. Francine sat down on the rooftop and swung her legs back and forth. Feeling the wind brush across her legs.

"Hey" A voice was heard and small footsteps. Francine turned her head and saw Gerard.

"Hey, I thought you weren't coming today"

"I started to feel better and got bored." Gerard plopped down next to her, feeling the breeze dance across his face.

"Smooth" Francine felt the weird awkward tension between them. Gerard still had his bright happy but looked gloomy vibe around him. She felt some weight in her lap and looked down and saw Gerard's face looking back at her. Francine laughed and pets the side of his face softly.  Gerard purred at her touch and inhaled her sweet smell.

"How have your parents been?" Gerard asked.

"The same, the awkward dinners with no talking."

"Did something happen with them?"

"They were have some argument the other night, but that was it"

"They seem so normal compared to my parents."

"You & Mikey were raised by circus freaks!? I had no idea" She added a dramatic affect by gasping and putting a hand in front of her mouth. Gerard chuckled at her and rolled on his side, to look out to the flied in front of him. The peacefully vibrant green grass blended in with the dark colored trees into the blue sky with white flowing clouds. Gerard's hazel eyes captured in the image in his mind, and Francine's golden brown eyes were lost in the details of Gerard's dark hair. Gerard rubbed his fingers in a circular motion on Francine's legs as he lied on them.

"The heat is unbearable." She said rolling her sleeves up and groaning at the heat.

"I'll take a cold shower with ya." Gerard looked up to her and had a evil smirk on his face.

"Very funny Gee." She ruffled his hair and wiggled her legs under his head. He lifted his head and faced her.

"Something seems to be wrong with you France."

"I have been suffering at home. My parents don't talk. I'm throwing up after every meal. I'm in love. I have thought about killing myself."

"Francine, I'm sorry." He pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead.

"I need help but I don't want to face anyone-"

"France, you know how much I care for you, but really you need to get help." Her golden eyes met his hazel eyes. She fought back her tears and nuzzled her head into Gerard's neck. 

"Fine, only if you come with me."

"Promise." He wrapped his pinky fingers around hers.

[Time change]

Gerard watched Francine tap her fingers against her phone on her desk. She was staring at it once she got home, biting her fingernails and tapping the same beat over and over again. Gerard got tired of it and placed Francine's hand on top of the phone and placed it next to her head and dialed the number.  He listened in carefully making sure she said everything she promised.

'They said I have to come in next week to talk to a therapist."

"You think you'll go threw with it?"

"Maybe."

"Am I the only one that knows about this whole situation?"

"I think Mariana is slowly finding out. I told her about the nightmares I've been having."

"Oh, wait. What nightmares?" Gerard asked, leaning in.

"The nightmares about well... me in a hospital. It scares me and people with odd faces and creepy voices. Dreams of me when I was younger." She shook in fear and hugged her arms around herself.

"Francine, are you okay?" He placed a hand on her arm, she yelped in fear.

"Gerard, can I be alone for a while?"

"Sure thing, I'll talk to you later." He kissed her forehead and had a look of sadness on his face. Francine lied in bed and fell asleep.

She started dreaming, and felt herself in a white, like hospital room. She heard a weird high pitch voice edging closer to her. Saying things like "Poor little Francine" over and over again.  She felt a hand crawl up her arm and then tightly grab her arms, digging the nails into her flesh. She woke up screaming and panting in sweat again.

Francine held her face in her hands and breathed heavily.

"God help me."

[Chapter 7] Important. Vampire Knight

"I am a orphan. Our house burned to the ground after I escaped from the level E's. They murdered my parents, slaughter them, I was sleeping and walked into my parents room and saw them." Mia placed a hand over her mouth to hide the cry in her throat. Zero lied next to her, leaning on his elbow watching her. The smell of her strawberry colored hair filled his nose; the ache in his gums grew a bit at the sight of her neck.

"After they found my parents, I hide in my room till they were going to burn down my house. Everything is gone. I was six years old. So much blood, I could have helped but I was to damn sleep to hear they're cries. My mother was on the bed; even in death she looked beautiful. My mom was Hanako, she had bright red hair and beautiful ivory skin, pretty red eyes and she was always had a perfect frame, not like moms that kept baby weight after giving birth. My dad name was Ryuu. He had white hair. And sliver eyes, he looked scary at times but was always gentle and kind, he was like my best friend. He made me laugh whenever I was upset," Mia laughed at the image of her, her mother, and her father. Zero also of his parents when his mom and dad would come to kiss Ichiru and him good night

"It's hard not having the people that loved you around." Zero drew his hand up to her tear stained cheeks.

"Exactly. I only remember their faces, names, their kindness, and the image of their dead bodies. I don't even know my last name. The only thing I remember from that night was finding them and seeing that level E." Mia turned on her side to face Zero.Zero's amethyst eyes hide behind his sliver locks, his pale skinny hands curled around Mia's. He felt guilt for her; someone he cared about had to go through the same horror as him, but not as bad. Mia lifted herself a bit, her hands were at Zero's sides, staring him down.

"Is something wrong Mia?" Zero said lifting himself up but Mia's cold hand gently pushed him back down. She lowered her head to met Zero's. Zeros breathe got caught in his throat, the ache in his gums increased. Mia's red hair fell in her face, her lips met Zero's. Gently pressed against each other. Zero first kisses were with Mia, the sweet taste of cherry and the intoxicating smell of blood. Zero turned the both of them over so he was on top. His bony hands traveled up her torso into her bright red hair. His hands stopped at her marks from his teeth. His fingers stayed there for a while.

"Zero I-"

"Mia, I've hurt you but you still give me affection I don't deserve."

"It barely hurts Zero. I want to help you."

"You know the pain I go throw, but you don't treat me like a patient. You treat me like I'm someone special."  Mia stared at Zero, admiring his face.

"You are, your friend, you care for me." She cupped his face " You are important, you don't think it but to me, Yuuki, Headmaster Cross, you are very important to us." Zero slide his hand onto hers, he nuzzled his head into her hands and pulled them away from him.  Mia waited for Zero to say something, the silence was killing her but she enjoyed sitting with Zero all alone.  The candlelight lit the room and beamed on their faces. Mia pushed her hair away from her neck and felt Zero's eye staring at the pale flesh across her neck, his eyes glowed red. She offered him her blood, he tried to deny but he couldn't.

He placed a hand behind her neck and sunk his teeth into her neck. She grabbed his shirt in pain then released after a minute. Slurp, slurp, and slurp. The sound of blood being slurped out of Mia's neck, after a couple minutes Zero pulled his teeth out and wiped his hand on the blood on his lips. He walked away to grab bandages and placed some on Mia's neck. Mia saw a bit of blood on Zero's lip, and wiped it off.

"I wonder what blood tastes like." she though out loud and tried to lick the blood away but Zero grabbed her hand.

"I don't want you to become a monster like me."

"I don't think you're a monster. You're a human with slight defects" She smiled; he slowly formed a smile after her.

"I don't want to hurt you."

"You cant." She pulled him down on top of her. " Now, enjoy the moment well it lasts"  Their lips moved together in slow motion. They continued kissing, Zero's hand were at her hips, Mia's were intertwined in his sliver locks.  After what felt like hours, they broke apart. Mia went to change into pajamas. She stood in front of the dresser, stripping down. Zero didn't seem to pay attention till he looked up and saw Mia's bare back. He blushed and tired to look away, but a giant scar was across her back.

"Mia." Zero snapped Mia out of her own world and she yelped realizing that she was half naked in front of Zero. She quickly put on her long sleeve sleep shirt.

"Uh sorry I-I-I didn't realize you were still here I-" He cut her off by pulling the back of her shirt up and tracing the scar on her back.

"What happened? Did Aido hurt you? I swear I'll kill that-"

"No! It was from the level E attack." She looked at him. Blushing cause of the fact that she was practically naked in front of him.  Zero though about it for moment and wrapped his arms around her.

'I promise you no one will hurt you." He mumbled in her shoulder.

"& I always be there for you." Mia said back.

*Mean while*

Kaname lied on his couch, smirking as he watched Aido (Hanabusa) & Kain (Akatsuki) stood in front of him waiting for their punishment for causing Zero & Mia harm.

"Kaname-sama we're sorry! I didn't to-" Aido pleaded and dramatically fell to his knees.

"Aido and Kain, for punishment for trying to bite a student...again, you have to clean every ones room, no money, no special treatment. Are we clear?"

"Crystal, come on Aido" Kain pulled his younger cousin out of the room by his collar.

"Thank again Aido" Kain rolled his eyes.

"Oh your welcome cousin" He grinded his teeth together then smirked.

"What are you smiling about?"

"Mia's scent. It's sweeter than Yuuki's."

"Aido, its one thing to try to bite Yuuki and deal with Kaname but it's a totally different story if you try on Mia and deal with Zero." Aido frowned and sulked.

"Good point. Whatever." He shrugged it off and plopped on his bed.

"Mia's blood...mhmm what a great challenge" Kain though to himself and flicked the lights off.

Francine yelped at bit, and turned seeing Mariana hanging out of her window. Her long brown hair hung down, her famous bright smile beamed at Francine. Francine pushed the hair out of her face and pulled Mariana into her room. Mariana dressed in dark gray skinny jeans, plain black hoodie and torn up converse with colored laces, and a plain gray beanie, the last item in Mariana’s outfit that Francine had noticed was very bright sunglasses on top of her beanie. Francine never understood why Mariana liked bright colors, Francine liked to wear dark things to blend and not be noticed. Which never worked when the school you go to is filled with “normal” colors and bright.

“So what does what mean?” Mariana asked plopping on her bed.

“Nothing, I had a weird dream that’s all” She lied down next to her.

“Are you sure you don’t want to tell me?” Mariana turned her head to face Francine.

“Yeah, just another dream” Francine shivered at the cold air Mariana brought in through the window.

“I’ve been worried about you Frenchie.” Mariana said.

“Why is that?” Francine felt sweat starting to form on her skin, the heat in her cheeks rose. Mariana sat up on her bed and sat against the wall.

“You seem to waste away, you haven’t been acting like yourself. You look smaller and smaller every week. What’s going on Francine?”

“I’ve been having a hard week that’s all, studying to hard for tests.” Francine brushed her bony hand through her long dark brown hair. Mariana ruffled the top of Francine’s hair and kissed her forehead.

“Have to go, get some sleep. Love you Frenchie.” Mariana quietly climbed out of her window.

“See ya Mari” Francine waved to Mariana as she climbed out. Mariana reminded Francine of a older sister. Mariana was loving, bubbly, sweet, and charming. Francine always felt like imperfection next to her.

Francine brushed her hair and changed her clothes. She went into her bathroom and locked the door. She started at herself in the mirror, her cheek had sunken in, her collarbone popped out. Francine lifted her tank top and saw pale white skin tightly wrapped around her bones. She sighed and felt the tears rising. The Francine Cross in the mirror now was a lifeless shell of the bright, smiley, kind Francine that existed before she begun purging. Francine opened the cabinets in her bathroom and popped in some sleeping pills into her mouth and gulped them down. She walked to her bed and let the softness of the blanket consume her. More nightmares to come along the way.

Gerard sat at his bed, his knees curled up to his chest; his black hair was unwashed for the day. Smoke blew out of his mouth as he sat in silence. A gray & black striped pull over sweater hung on his bony shoulders, his dark gray pants hugged his legs, his pale feet were covered by black socks and dirty old shoes that he kept forever. This week has been hard on him; the extremely hard tests, his parents forcing him to go to bed early and being paranoid, Mikey never turning down his loud music, and most of all Francine. He knew Francine was bulimic, he knew it.  He felt disgusted with himself, when he should have felt disgust towards Francine for torturing herself to be skinny. He knew of her problems, the purging, the hatred she had towards herself: and he did nothing. He watched her become a lifeless being. Gerard raked a hand through his hair, thoughts scattered in his minds. Gerard looked out to his window and started at the stars in the night. The bright white dots shined in the black sky, the memory of him as a child with Mikey on the roof tops watching the stars were rewritten by them fading away by the distance between Gerard and Mikey. He missed the life he had when he first met Francine, she was still shy but still look alive, had a bright smile. Mikey still had a strong and good relationship with his little brother.

A light bright shot across the sky caught Gerard’s eye. A shooting star, ice going across space really. Your suppose to wish when you see one, no one knows why exactly your suppose to but we do it anyway. Gerard got up and pushed the Watchmen novels away from his window and leaned on his elbows. The moonlight hit his eyes and the stars reflected against his pupils. He ponders on what he should wish for, he knows the wish never comes true but he wishes anyway.

Hanabusa Aido and Akatsuki Kain stood a couple feet in front of Zero and Mia. Zero shoved Mia behind him as he reached for his Bloody Rose gun. Mia placed her bony hands against his back and overlooked from his shoulder to the two vampires. The playboy of the Night class, Hanabusa smirked with his fangs poking out of his grin. The “Wild- senpi” Akatsuki had a bored expression on his face, slouched over, staring at Mia.

“What a lovely night, isn’t it Mia, Zero?” Hanabusa stepped closer to the couple, Zero quickly pulled out his gun, aiming to Hanabusa fore head. Hanabusa had a sudden look of fear in his face and the gun pointed in his direction.

“Don’t come any closer, vampire.” Zero grunted. Hanabusa backed up a bit, but had a evil smirk on his face. Zero and Mia started to walk in the direction they came from, Mia walked in front of him. Zero felt coldness underneath his feet and looked down to see his feet up to his calf covered in ice.

“Damn it Hanabusa!” Zero yelled. Mia turned to Zero and felt someone behind her. A hand clamped over her mouth and arms.

“Seems Zero already marked you, Mia” Hanabusa said in Mia’s ear.

“Get..off…me” She mumble against his hand. Zero kept grunted, trying to pull his legs from the ice from Hanabusa. Akatsuki stood his place watching the screen in front of him, watching for Kaname.

“Hope you don’t mind if I have a taste.” Obviously, Hanabusa trying to seduce Mia or an attempt to be sexy.

“Get off her!!” Zero yelled, trying to shoot his gun. Mia bit Hanabusa’s hand, he yelped and let go of her.

“Gah! You bitc—“

“Hanabusa!” Kaname yelled. Everyone stopped and turned to look at Kaname. The tall, lean pureblood stood over Hanabusa, who was shaking in fear.

“Oh, Hi Kaname, me and Akatsuki were just walking and-“

“Enough!” Kaname backhanded Hanabusa. A long snap noise. Kaname’s long hand hit Hanabusa’s pale cheek.

“Kaname…I’m sorry-“

“Akatsuki, Hanabusa. Go back to the Moon dorms. Now” Akatsuki and Hanabusa ran off to the direction of the Night classes moon dorms. The ice broke from Zero, he ran to Mia, hugging her for dear life. They were interrupted by Kaname’s monotone voice.

“Mia and Zero, I’m sorry for the actions of those two. Forgive them please?”

“Forgive them?! That basta—“ Zero yelled in an anger tone.

“Zero! Alright Kaname, have a good night.” Mia pulled of Zero’s sleeve to the Zero’s dorm. Zero glared at Kaname as the petite Mia pulled him away. As soon as the couple was out of seeing distance from the pureblood, Mia leaned against a tree, sliding to the ground shaking.

“Mia, are you alright?” Zero kneeled to her, rubbing his hands on her arms. She shook and trembled in fear, when she felt Hanabusa’s fang near her neck, the images of the attack from the Level E vampire ran in her head.

“V-v-v-vampires…” She shook as she spoke. Her hands over her face, covering the tears.

“Damn vampires.” Zero grunted through his teeth. “Come on, I’ll take you back” He hooked his arms around her torso and under her legs and walked toward his dorm room.

When Zero carried Mia, she shook and cried in his arms. She clung onto his and buried herself into his chest. Zero walked into his room and set Mia on the bed, a uncomfortable déjà vu feeling ran through him. The first night Mia came to the academy, covered in blood, tore clothing, a complete mess, in total fear. When he lied her down on to the bed, she snuggled into the blankets and pillows.

“Thanks Zero” She said.

“No problem Mia.” He went to the kitchen in his room and started cooking shoyu ramen noodles. The fresh smell of the noodles went into Mia’s nose and she loved the smell. She groaned as she got and wrapped the blanket around her petite frame and walked towards the kitchen.   Zero stood over the oven, sleeves rolled up, a blanket of sweat of his forehead. He turned his body a bit and saw Mia’s tired and exhausted frame. He dared to smile a bit and kept cooking. She quietly watched him cooked the noodles, sitting on the counter. Her straight but wavy pinkish hair fell in front of her face as she watched the sliver haired boy. His amethyst eyes watched her in the eye of his eyes at the tip of his bottom lashes. She looked like she hadn’t eaten in months or years, her chest bones popping; she seemed to get smaller every week, her cheeks bones started to show.

“Have you eaten?” Zero asked looking up at her.

“Not as much as I should.” She looked back at him.

“Here.” Zero handed her a bowl of steaming noodles, she took the bowl and slurped out of it. Zero laughed a bit and handed her chopsticks.

“Opps.” She giggled to herself. Zero plopped up next to her on the counter and watched her eat.

“This is really good Zero, if the hunter thing doesn’t work out for you, become a chief.”  She replied with a noodle hanging out of her mouth. Zero grabbed the other end of it with his teeth and pulled it towards him. Both him and Mia fought for the noodle till both their lips meet, they bit they ends of the noodle and swallowed it.

“Didn’t that happen in some movie?” Zero asked brushing the bangs out of her face.

“Yep. Lady & The Tramp” Mia finished the bowl of noodles and dumped it in the sink next to her. Zero leaned in again to simply kiss her. Mia pecked back and yelped when Zero pulled her off the counter and carried her to the bed. He gently lied her down and hovered over her, then side next to her watching her.

“Zero?”

“Yes Mia?”

“Why are you a good vampire but that other guy today is a bad vampire?”

“There’s a difference. Hanabusa doesn’t need blood like I do. And plus he does stuff like that just to piss me off” Mia giggled at how serious Zero was when he said that. She jumped in her skin a bit when she felt Zero’s cold finger trace across her arm.

“I hate to bring this up at this time, but you never told me about the attack.” Zero said, feeling regret hit him. Mia took a big breath and started to answer.

The rain pounded against Francine’s window. Gerard had left, didn’t want his parents to find him not in his bed. Her parents left earlier for a Valentines party at a friend’s house. She sat there on her bed, by herself, knees pulled by to her chest. Her long hair draped over her face, she didn’t feel like brush it out of the way. She dressed herself in very tight black jeans, black & white striped tank under an over sized red short sleeve button shirt. She didn’t feel like put make up on today. She already felt beautiful because Gerard told she was. She rubbed the socks off of her feet and walked over to her TV and turn it on. Francine sat chris cross in front of the TV, watching the news. News about the new Oscars, A-rod taking steroids, weather, and most of all, the stimulus packet. Francine sighed, she watched the news for no reason, and she had no real interest in anything going on in the world. After a while. Francine got this horrible feeling in the pit off her stomach. She placed her bony hands over her stomach and crawled over to her bathroom. She kneeled over her toilet and shoved her finger down her throat. She felt the liquids come out of her mouth, this kept going on and on for a coupe minutes until she felt nothing in her stomach.

“I’m a monster…” Francine whispered to herself. She put her hand over her face and speared her legs out. She felt lower than low. She told Gerard that she would stop but she knew that she couldn’t and she wouldn’t.  Francine felt hot tears run down her face and sobs escaped her mouth. She lied about purging. Once again. To Gerard, her parents, her friends and especially her self. The sudden noise of her phone beeping rang out in her room. Francine slowly got up and tried to hold to the wall for support. She walked slowly to her phone and flipped it open.

From: Gerard:

Hello~ how are you?

She couldn’t help to tear up a bit from his text; she pressed reply and texted back.

From: Francine.

Hey. I could be better, you?

From: Gerard.

I’m okay, everything okay with you?

From: Francine.

Yep, everything is okay. Why?

From: Gerard

From: Francine.

You can tell from a text?

Francine closed her phone and fell onto her bed. She felt darkness surround her and closed her eyes. She felt weightless and was gliding. All she could see was white, could have been clouds, but lighter and no sky. Then everything became dark and gloomy. Francine found herself, in this dream, curled up in a corner. The dream Francine was crying and sobbing, she looked liked like a tooth pick and had her clothes hanging off of her. Papers were all around the dream Francine, with words like

“I am a monster.” Francine’s eye grew wide in fear. She yelled in her dream and shot up in her bed, in sweat. She was panting and wiping sweat off of her forehead.

“Does it mean something?” She whispered to her self.

“Does what mean something?” she heard.

Gerard sat on Francine’s window ledge, tapping on the glass. Repeating, “Wake Up Frenchie.” It was almost the time Francine got up, 7:20 am. Francine was safety tucked under her blankets and in such a deep sleep she couldn’t hear anything around her. Gerard groaned and used his fingernails to break the lock to the window. He carefully seeked into the room, everything was so quite and peaceful. He sat on her bed, next to her sleeping body. He didn’t want to wake her; she probably wouldn’t hear him anyway. Francine’s long dark hair covered her face; her arms were wrapped around her pillow, her blankets sprawled over the mattress.

“Francine...wake up...” He shook her shoulder abit. She stirred slightly but was still asleep.

“French.... wake uppppp!” he kept shaking her.

“Gerard, I swear if you shake me one more time, I will slap you like a silly girl.” He took his hands off her and placed them in his lap. She turned to her side and looked at Gerard. Her cheeks were rosy and her lips were chapped.

“You got chap stick?” she groaned.

“Yeah.” He handed his cherry chap stick to her; she placed it on her lips and licked her lips.

“Yum, cherry chap stick.” He giggled abit; he slowly brushed Francine’s long dark bangs out of her eyes. She sighed abit and closed her eyes. Beautiful.

“You okay?” 

“Yea just tired.” She yawned and outreached her arms. Gerard stared at her beautiful face, examining the features, the few stairs dangling over her face, her bony pale hands over her chest, Her eyes slightly closed.

“What day is it?” she groaned.

“Saturday.”

“...Dare I Ask What Time It Is?”

“...7:28 pm”

“I’m not gonna comment.”

“Yeah, I got bored with comics and books.”

“What book?”

“The science text book.”

“Classic.”

“I think I know everything about sediments and erosion now.”

“That’s all you remember?”

“Yeah...” She giggled abit and tugged on his arms. He shifted his body to lie next to her; he lied on top of her blankets and stuffed his head in the pillows. He traced his fingers over Francine’s arms, his cold skin brushing against her warm skin. Gerard look around her room and saw a clipboard of photos. Photos of Francine and Mariana, Gerard and Francine, Mikey, her mom and dad, Francine with Zoey, but one photo stood out to Gerard.

A picture of Francine, recently, her hair was down, no makeup, she was sitting in her bed, crisscross, and the lighting was perfect. Francine had a simple across her lips. He pulled himself of Francine, ignoring her whining, and pulled the photo of the clipboard.

“When was this?”

“A Couple months ago, my mom just got her new camera and went a photo taking frenzy.”

“I like it.”

“Really? I though I look plain and ugly in that.”

“You say that about every picture that is taken of you.”

‘Well its true.”

“Your so negative sometimes.” He turned grinning at her.

“Take that smirk off your face, Gerard Arthur Way.”

“& What if I don’t, Francine Avalon Cross?”

“Ohhh, pulling out the full names, I can see?”

“Yeah got a problem?” Gerard trying to pull of the “gangster” vibe.

‘Just get in the bed.”

“Fine, be that way.” He shrugged of his jacket and shoes and snuggled into her bed. Francine warmed up to him and try to back to sleep. She let his one-day-old axe spray, coffee and smoke scent in her nose. Gerard retraced his fingers over her arms again. They both eventually both fall asleep in each other’s arms, dreaming of God knows what. They both woke up hours later, to hear the tapping noise of rain pounding against the windows.

“It’s raining?” Gerard asked in a yawning voice.

“No, its just water being throws at my window.”

“Hey, meanie.”

“You’ll get over it.” Gerard lied back in the bed and snuggled more into the blankets. Francine slowly lied back down too, listening to the rain falling from the sky.

“It’s peaceful isn’t it?”

“Yeah, relaxing.” Gerard sank his fingers into Francine’s hair, dark, long and straight. Curling it within his fingers.

“So did you think about what I said?”

“Yeah, kinda, sorta.”

“You don’t have to.”

“I know, WAIT! I don’t have to? Your not gonna make me?”

“Its your choose.”

“...Gerard, be honest.”

“I really think you need to stop but its all up to you.”

“No pressure I see.”

“Totally.” They both lied in silence for awhile till Gerard broke it.
”Why did you start purging?”

“I felt ugly, disgusting, and incomplete. I was invisible and wasn’t the typical beautiful girl like those cheerleaders in my old school.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“But why?” The question stopped Francine. Why did she actually start purging?

“I really don’t know.”

“You know, you are beautiful, perfect and amazing in my eyes.” She turned her head downs him and kissed his nose. She turned her body and kissed him. They kept kissing with touching each other or holding each other. Just their lips.

[Chapter 5] Sway.

 Winter Break was over. The Students have come back to Cross Academy. Mia was walking around the halls with Zero, humming to herself. Swaying in her steps, boredom ran through her mind as time passed. Zero was still silent and cold to everyone; Yuuki has be the complete opposite; warm & gentle. Mia turned in front of Zero and started walking backwards.

“You seem a lot more happier than usual.” Zero kept walking.

“Is there something wrong with being happy?” Mia playfully asked.

“Not really but “ Zero got caught off by Mia stopping in her tracks, stopping him as well. She caressed his cheek and Zero fought back the blush appearing in his face.

“Then why aren’t you happy?”

“I don’t have a lot to be happy about.”

“Like what?” Zero stared down at the girl. He told her about Shizuka Hiou, the pureblood that attacked his family, and put Zero into this terrifying path to becoming a vampire. Zero’s sliver bangs covered his eyes, Mia slightly brushed them out of his face.

“I know it hurts but...” She tried to find the right words to say to him. She wanted to just tell him something; she wanted to see his smile. He never smiles. Only with Mia, Yukki and Headmaster Cross only showed him affection.  Zero still kept his gaze on Mia’s smiling and curious face. She kind of reminded him of Yukki, Yukki used to make Zero feel special, important and loved. Then she fell for Kaname. Zero always hated him, hated him for being a pureblood, and hated him for taking Yukki. As time went on, he lost the romantic feeling towards Yukki. He though of her as a best friend or of a sister in a way. Zero slowly reached his hand to her face, a part of him told him to, and the other said it would scare her away.

 I bit her, but she didn’t mind.

She said she would give me her blood.

The sound of her blood being sucked out.

Thoughts ran through Zero’s head, about the night he drank from her. He tortured himself and force the blood tablets down his throat. He slowly reached his hand to her face and softened his gaze on her. Mia leaned her cheek into his head and smiled.

“You have soft hands...” She whispered softly.

“You have soft skin.” He muttered. She slowly walked closer to him and took his hand into hers.

“Your always so cold.”  She stared at his hand and brushed it against her cheek. Zero smiled. He actually smiled.

“I’m a vampire after all.”

“I like it when you smile.” She said bluntly. Zero’s eye slightly widened. He knew he was blushing, he mentally was cursing at himself. Mia giggled and let go of his hand and wrapped his arms around his torso. He looked down at her in shock; he raised his hands up and hugged her back.

“You need to show how nice you are to others. Your sweet Zero.” She said into his uniform jacket. That was probably the nicest thing anyone has said to Zero. Zero put his head on top of hers and placed a hand in her hair. His sliver locks were tickling her pink-ish locks.

“You too, Mia, you too.” Zero had the odd feeling of someone watching them hug, he let it go when they parted and Mia took his hand and started walking to the ball room. In the corner, Headmaster Cross & Yukki were watching Mia & Zero. Headmaster Cross was crying over the fact that “his” Zero was growing up & falling in love. Yukki was giggling that Zero was blushing.

Mia and Zero were in the ballroom. It was half way through being decorated for the Valentines Dance. The walls were covered in red and pink, roses around the room, hearts. The room had this romantic feel to. Zero, could wait for Valentines, he hated it; the fan girls of The Night Class went insane that day. Mia didn’t really like Valentines Day either but she liked eating the candies. Zero was leaning against a wall, staring off into space. Mia turned on the music in room, to a all most salsa like music, with a very romantic sound to it. Zero shoot up his head to her, she was holding her hand out to him.

“Wanna dance?”

“I Cant dance.”

“I’ll teach you.” He sighed in defeat and took her hand.

“Put your other hand on my hip” He slowly slid his hand around her hip, she did the same and pressed her self-closer.

“Now follow me.”  The moved their foot together, they swayed together, Zero was a little surprised with him-self. Zero held her close to his chest and dipped her.

“Wow Zero.” Mia said as she popped back up.

“What?”

“I though you said you couldn’t dance.”

“I’ve been to all the dances, forced, I’ve seen a couple good moves.”

“Are you going to dance at the Valentines ball?”

“No”

“Too bad.”

‘You cant make me.”

“Oh, yes I can.”

“Really? How?” Mia let go of his hands and cupped his face. Zero widened his eyes abit and held his breathe. Her light pink tinted lips were dangerously close to his flesh colored ones. Zero was utterly shocked at what was happening. His spidery long fingers drew up to her head and buried them in her hair.

“Are you going dance at the ball?” She whispered, her hot breath brushed against his lips.

“Y-yes” he choked out. Mia smirked to herself and then giggled.

“I wonder if I should kiss you.” She said. Zero ignored her comment and moved in closer. In the heat of the moment, he pressed his cold lips to hers.

Zero kissed Mia.

Mia was a little shocked at him, and then she closed her eyes and pressed back. She wrapped her petite arms around his neck; he slid his hands down to her waist. No French kissing, no hot making out, just a simple, romantic peck on the lips. They parted from each other, and stared at each other.

“Mia...” He barely whispered. He pressed his forehead against her’s. Their hairs brushed against each other, Mia broke Zero’s cold, angry and scary image. When Zero kissed her, he felt this weight of stress, angry and cold off of him. Mia felt safe, the fear she had when she came to the Cross academy had disappear.

“Hello Zero, Mia how are you two-“ Headmaster Cross and Yukki froze in their tracks scaring at them.

“WAHHHH! My Zero is growing up!” Headmaster Cross yelled, running to them. Zero grabbed Mia and ran out of the room to the outside.

“Aw, Zero & Mia sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.” Yukki sang to herself. Then she felt someone’s body heat behind her. She turned to see Kaname.

“Oh! Kaname, how are you?” Yukki brushed her brown hair out of her face.
”So, Zero’s in love?” Kaname chuckled to himself.

“Yeah, I’m happy for him.” She tired not to blush in the presence of Kaname.

“Are you blushing Yukki?”

“N-no.” Kaname pulled her to him and hugged her. Mean while, Zero and Mia were outside. With two of the Night Class students in their way.

Francine tapped her pencil against the desk she sat at. Being back at school was horrifyingly bad. Gerard burst into the classroom panting, he sat next to Francine and sunk into his seat.  He landed his hand on the desk and his messy hair sprawled out on the cold wood. Francine rested her chin on top of his head; her dark chocolate hair covered his raven hair.

“Good After Noon, Gee.”

“It’s the afternoon?”

“Yes Gerard, its 12:15.”

“That’s the after noon?”

“Yes, Oh! I never got my Christmas gifts.” She lifted her head off his; he titled his head and smirked at her. He moved his body closer to hers; he pulled her into his embrace. Francine’s small frame pressed against Gerard’s lanky one, the art room was silent and dim.  He rested his head over her chest as she leaned back in hear chair, Francine ran her fingers through his hair, Gerard listened carefully to her heart at a normal rate. He could feel her bones against her skin; it made him slightly skin that she did that.

“Francine” He muttered against her chest.

“Yeah?’ She yawned and drew her hair into a messy ponytail.

“When did you purge last?” He kept a stern voice.

“This morning.”

“Why?”

“It’s an obsession and addiction.”

“Why can’t you stop?”

“It takes a lot to actually stop.”

“Get help then.” He lifted himself off of her, his hands were on either side of her and he had a stern and sad expression on his face.

“It’s not that easy.”

“Why?”

“My parents might find out.”

“And?”

“I don’t want them to know about it.”

“They don’t have to.”

“I’m surprise they don’t know.” She tried to get off topic and turned her attention the windows.

“Francine, promise me.” He slide his hand into hers “You’ll get help.” She sighed in defeat.

“I Promise, but I wont like it” He kissed her forehead.

“I don’t expect you to”

Gerard lied on Francine’s playing with her childish plushies, Francine sat at her desk doing her Algebra 2 homework. He lied on her bed watching her, she had her reading glasses on and she tuned everything out around her. She tapped her feet on the floor in impatient, he good see her body shake from the cold air. Gerard quietly tip toed behind her, he slide his hand to her shoulder to her hand, he carefully took the pencil out of her hands and put his fingers in the web of her hands. He put the hair tie out of her hair and nuzzled into her neck.

“Relax.”

“I keeping skipping glasses and mid terms are next week. Relax isn’t in my dictionary.”

“Skipping glasses? Tisk tisk.”

“Oh shush, you make me skip.”

“No one says you have to.” She sighed and turned to face him. She stuck her tongue out at him; he pulled her out of the chair and into his arms. She tossed and turned in his arms, tugging on him to let her go. He plopped her down on the bed and hovered off her.

“You’re over stressing yourself France.” He leaned in closer.

“How are you not?” He leaned in abit more.

“I might skip on test day.”

“Typical Gerard, you’re never gonna-“ He cut her off by pecking her on the lips. Their smooth, moist lips pressed against each other. Gerard gently pushed his tongue against her lips, she opened her lips slowly and they battle their tongues against each other. Francine had her hands in her hair and ran down his back. Gerard had one his hands holding her chin and the other running up and down her flat stomach. They heard light footsteps from downstairs; they parted and tried to catch their breath.

“I’ll see you later French.” He kissed the tip of her nose and grabbed his book pack and climbed out of the window.

“Au Revior Gee.” She whispered as he climbed out of her window. She striped out of her jeans and curled into her bed, she flicked the lights off and dove her head into the pillows. She licked her lips, as she could taste his cherry chap stick.

In the middle of the night, Francine woke up and wrote down that she should call the nearest rehab.

Chapter 4. Taste.

“Zero...”

Zero turned to Mia’s soft voice; her hair covered her face as she sat up. Zero was curled on the floor, coughing, lusting for blood.  He tried to find his blood tablets and gave up as he heard Mia’s voice. He crawled back to the bed and sat next to Mia, he grinded his teeth and gasped for breath. Mia rubbed his back and held him close.

“Zero...what’s wrong?” He tried to push her anyway but she pulled him closer.

‘Don’t...come near me...”  She grabbed his chin and stared into his glowing red eyes.

Do you need blood?” She whispered. Zero grabbed her shoulders and inched his head closer to her neck. He stopped himself and grunted.

“No.” He growled.

Zero, if you need it, I’ll give you some of mine.” Zero looked at him with shocked eyes and he moved closer to her neck.

“Don’t hate me...”

Zero closed in on her neck, licked the nape of it, one of his hands pulled her hair the other pushed her to lie on the bed. He slowly sunk his teeth into her neck, his fangs buried into her flesh, her blood rushed into his mouth and dipped from his lips. Mia balled her hands into fists and bit her lip in unbearable pain. You could hear the blood being slurped out of her neck. After a couple minutes, Zero pulled his fangs out of her neck; he hovered over her and stared down at her. Her blood dipped from his mouth onto her uniform long sleeve white button shirt. The glow in his eye had disappeared, Mia could see in the sadness appear in his eyes. She felt dizzy and suddenly tired, she lazily reached her hand up to his cheek.

“You okay now?”

“Y-yeah” He was surprised she didn’t cry out in pain, he wiped the blood dipping from his mouth and collapsed next to her. He seemed breathless and exhausted; he felt a weight come off the bed. Mia hand a wet wash clothe up to her neck, washing her blood off her neck down to her chest. The collar of her shirt was soaked in dark red crimson; the buttons tore from the shirt, her strawberry colored hair was messy and covered most of her face. Zero lied back onto his blood stained bed in silence, he couldn’t believe he did that, but the blood was so tempting. Mia lied onto the bed next to her, her eyes feel shut and she fell into a deep sleep.

“Mia...?” Zero leaned over her and tugged on her arm, kinda like a baby trying to get his mothers attention. She stirred in her sleep and tossed and turned. Zero slightly smirked to him self and turned her body and covered her body in blankets. Zero sat on the bed watching her sleep; he ran his long fingers through his sliver locks and savored the last drop of blood in his mouth. He shifted his body to sleep next to Mia; he faced her and stared at her sleeping face. So Peaceful.

Mia woke up next to Zero, he was lying on his back, and his arms and legs were sprawled out across in the bed. She smile to herself and sprung up from the bed without waking him. As she walked away from the bed, Zero’s hand rose and grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.

“Stay, I’m cold,” He whispered in a lazy, tired voice. Mia stared at his face, he still have his eyes closed and seem peaceful. She sat back down on the bed and ran her hand through his hair. She could see him smile, she wonder why he was so cold to the others but not to her.

“He probably feels bad for me...” She whispered to herself.

“No I don’t.” Zero turned to look at her; his stunning light purple eyes stared into her light red.

“But your nicer to me then you are to others.”

“Only to Yuuki and You. The fan girls annoy me and the vampires I’ve always hated. I don’t feel bad for you, I feel fine with you” She was stunned he randomly said that to her. He sat up to her and pulled her down to lie with him. She lied insanely close to him; Mia felt his cold hands on her neck.

“I’m sorry for last night.” He groaned.

“It’s fine, just tell me next time.”

“Next time?”

“If you need blood, I’ll be fine to give you some” She hide her face in the bed sheets, waiting for his response.

“But I-“  He was cut off by Mia nuzzling her head into the nape of his neck. He tensed up and then wrapped his arms around her.

“There’s more to come, isn’t there?” She whispered.

“Yeah, but I’ll be with you.”

“I hope so, I –“

“ZERO! MIA! Wake up!” Yuuki yelled from outside the room, banging onto the door. Mia giggled to herself and faced Zero. She noticed a small blush of pink on his cheeks, she giggled more and kissed his nose. Zero stared her in shock, put his hand over the tip she kissed and try to hold back a blush.

[Ghost]

Francine slept in her hospital bed for another week and her beat from the machine beeped through out the room. Gerard slept on the floor, from falling out of his seat, his light snores mixed in with Francine’s heartbeat. Her nurse, Mary came in and out of her room, injecting painkillers in her system.  The snow was still outside, Christmas had passed and Gerard went home (by force), New Years was almost here and Francine might miss the event. Mary slowly walked into the room and tipped toped to her bed, Mary shook Francine abit and whispered for her to wake up.

“Sweetheart, Wake up” Francine shot up in her bed and saw the sweet old lady that has been caring for her.

“Morning Mary”

“Its 3:45 pm”

“Opps” Mary giggled and looked towards Gerard.

“His been here for the past week, he must love you” Francine blushed at Mary’s comment. Gerard stirred in his sleep and tossed and turned on the cold marble floor. He opened his eyes abit and saw the nurse’s feet and looked up to see Mary.

“Oh...hello Mary” He groaned as he forced his body to get up.

“Good after noon Gerard” Mary felt this awkward tension between the two and quietly walked out of the room. Gerard leaned on the hospital bed, and rubbed his eye to wake up.

“How are you feeling?”

“Dead”

“Not surprised”

“How was the floor?”

“Wonderful and cozy” She giggled at his sarcasm. She felt warmth over her; Gerard laid his head in her lap and felt the cloth get soaked. He was crying. Gerard Way was actually crying. 

“Gerard” She stroked his messy greasy hair “what’s wrong?”

“I-t-t should ha-v-ve been m-e-e” He sobbed into her grown.

“What do you mean?”

“I should have pushed you got of the way...”

‘Gerard, it’s not your fault. Car accidents happen a lot.”

“But-“

“But nothing.” She ran her spidery fingers through his raven hair and leaned back in her bed. He climbed into the bed with her and cuddled into her warmth. His head rested right above her breasts, his head rose up and down as Francine down deep breaths. Francine though about the fast months that passed her by while in Gerard’s arms. Although she knew he felt guilty for her being in the hospital, he saved her. Saved her from loneness, from depression. He made her feel beautiful, made her feel like she mattered in someone’s life. All the wonders he did for her, she felt that he devised way more than her. But Gerard knew in his heart, he loved her. She was like the sun in his sky, her smiled warmed his day, and she made him feel in an indescribable way.

“Hey love birds, you get out today” Mariana’s soft voice enter the room, she leaned her frame against the door and watched Francine and Gerard. Mikey stood behind her, leaning his chin on her shoulder; his warm breath danced across her neck and he held Starbucks coffee in his hands. Mariana drew her hair back into a messy bun, parts of her brown hair deep around her face and she wore Mikey’s trench coat, covering her petite frame.

“Hey Mariana” Francine whispered.

“Hiya Bunny” Mariana skipped over to her bed, leaned over Gerard and kissed her forehead.

“Yo Bro!” Mikey walked over to Gerard and handed him much needed coffee. He hand Francine clothes her parents brought for her. Mariana and Mikey walked out of the room and waited for Francine to change her clothes.

“I’ll be outside Frenchie.” Gerard kissed her nose and climbed out of the bed and waited outside for her.

Francine slowly slide into her dark skinny jeans, and lazily put on her Bon Jovi shirt. She put her have into a messy ponytail and slip on her dark plaid jacket and dragged herself out of the room. Gerard put his arm around her shoulder and help her out of the hospital. Mariana smiled warmly while watching Francine and Gerard being very couple-ly. Mikey bit his lip from laughing; he has never seen his brother be so warm and gentle to anyone. When they got to Gerard’s car, Mariana shoved Gerard and Mikey into the drivers seat and sat with Francine’s head in her lap.

“Gerard, you drive. Mikey, DON’T drop the coffee and you!” She pointed to Francine. “Sleep”

Francine fell to sleep and Mikey& Gerard protested against Mariana, she yelled at them to shut up before waking Francine. Gerard kept looking at Francine in his rear view mirror and Mikey started to doze of to sleep. Mariana was brushing Francine’s hair with her fingers and slouched over her and fell into sleep. Gerard hummed to himself and the others around him went to sleep. The night came and the moonlight shined bright, Gerard was listening to the Misfits on low and watched the snowfall onto the car. He relaxed in his sit and felt relief in his body; he didn’t feel guilty anymore for Francine being in the hospital. He looked back in his rear view mirror and smiled watching Francine’s sleeping face.

Francine slouched on Gerards shoulder watching the TV. Mariana danced around the house, waiting for the New Year, Mikey slept on the couch, but still holding onto his coffee. It was 11:59 and the clock was ticking. Donna and Donald Way drank their red wine and waited for the New Year. 10 seconds...

Sink Your Teeth.

The cool almost winter breeze hit Mia’s face, she walked around the school with Zero by her side, watching for the vampires to come. Yuuki was yelling at the Night Class fan girls to get away from the gates.  Yuuki was kind enough to give Mia an extra Day Class uniform, but the uniform practically hung off her, Mia was holding on the white button shirt tightly praying to god nothing falls out. The Night class gates opened and the beautiful bloodsuckers arrived, all in their casual clothes, since winter break has come, the Night class leaves first.  The playboy of the Night Class, Aido Hanabusa was flirting and saying good byes with the dreamy eyed girls of the Day Class, his cousin Kain Akatsuki rolled his eyes at his cousin hyper-ness and womanizer ways. Shiki Senri, Rima Touya and Ichijo Takuma walked together muttering things to each other, Ruka Souen stood next to Kain, watching Kaname Kuran talk with Yuuki. Mia noticed the bright pink blush across her face when she spoke with the brown haired man. She also noticed Zero grinding his teeth as he watched Kaname basically undress Yuuki with his eyes; she giggled abit and Zero looked down at her.  Zero saw a light in her eye he saw when he hugged her yesterday, a small pink blush around her cheeks, her hair was pulled up into a messy bun and Zero saw and smelled the blood rushing through her neck. Mia noticed Zero staring at her and asked if she had something on her face. Zero smirked a tiny bit and simply said no, brushing her bangs out of her face.

“Mia! Come Here!” Yuuki’s bright voice yelled, pulling Mia’s arm towards the Night Class. Yuuki dragged Mia towards Kaname and she felt the Day Class girls give her death glares.

“Kaname, this is the new student, Mia.”

“Pleasure to meet you Mia” Kaname bowed his head towards Mia and raised a hand to shake.

“Nice to meet you too.” Mia loosely shook his hand and felt Zero’s body heat from behind her.

“Kuran” Zero grunted through his teeth.

“Kiryu” Kaname said softly.

“Hey! No fighting before break, and in front of Mia” Yuuki yelled at both the boys churlish ways.

“I apologize Mia, hope to know you better after break” Kaname turned to Yuuki and gave her a romantic hug. He said his goodbyes and walked away. Aido snickered to himself seeing the lovely departing of Yuuki and Kaname and his eyes fell onto Mia. He eyed her up and down and whispered into his cousin’s ear

“I bet her blood is good” Kain gave a death glare to his cousin and whispered back:

“She is pretty, and SHUT UP about people’s blood, geez”

“She is pretty.” Rima and Shiki enter into the conversation; Ruka listened in and watch the new girl. Ruka flipped her hair and walked over to her.

“I’m Ruka Souen, nice to meet you” Ruka was actually in a good mood today, to the Night Class’s, Yuuki, and Zero’s surprise.

“I’m Mia, nice to meet you too” Ruka smiled warmly and passed by Yuuki and Zero waving good byes. Ichijo ran over to Yuuki and hugged her good bye and tried his hardness to charm Mia.

“Pleasure to meet you, I’m Ichijo, I’m sorry I cant get to know you better, hope to see you after break” He kissed Mia’s hand and usually a one of the Day Class girls would blush, but Mia didn’t. He seemed abit stunned by that and smiled warmly and walked away, following Kaname and Ruka. Rima and Shiki followed him. Rima rushed over to Mia and felt this warm aura around her.

“I’m Rima, and this is Shiki. I hope we’ll be friends. Have a good break Yuuki, you too Zero.” Yuuki was surprised at Rima’s being so open, and Zero still kept his graze to the back of Kaname’s head.

“Yuuki, I’m going to miss you,” Aido rushed over to Yuuki, embracing her in a hug. Zero grunted through his teeth and Aido backed off.

“Oh, a new student? Pleasure to meet you. I’m Aido” Aido raised her hand to his lips and grazed his lips to it. Mia didn’t blush but tried to hold back a face of disgust.

“Your scaring her Aido” Kain pushed his cousin from Mia “ I’m Kain” He shook her hand and was amazed by her beauty. Zero felt a wave of jealousy hit the inside of his stomach. Yuuki waved to the Night Class good bye and turned to Mia.

“They nice, right?” Yuuki smiled.

“I guess.” Mia mumbled.

“Zero, take Mia on a tour of the school, I have to meet with headmaster” Yuuki ran off inside the building. Zero watched his friend skip off into the building and sighed in abit of happiness. “No Kaname” He though to himself, he brushed him hand net to Mia’s and gently grabbed her hand. Mia let Zero drag her and watch the Day Class students walk away from the academy, she smirked hearing the girls complain about not seeing their Idol-Senpi (Aido) or Wild-Senpi (Kain).

“How can they be so head over heels when they could suck the life out of them any minute” She whispered to herself but she felt Zero tighten his grasp on her hand.

Mia peeled off her thigh high socks and dipped her legs into the outdoor pool. Zero lied down next to her, staring at the night sky, Mia though about today, meeting the Night Class. When she met Kaname Kuran, she felt this powerful aura around him, more powerful then the other vampires. When Zero was sleeping last night, she went to the school library and looked up vampires. Pure Bloods, Level B, C, D, E, it was too much to handle for Mia.

“Zero, is Kaname a pureblood?” She asked, looking at him with a curious look. Zero pulled her arm and made her lie next to him, their bodies’ close and Mia’s wet legs soaked Zero uniform black pants.

‘Did Yuuki tell you about that?”

“No. When you fell asleep I snuck out to the library”

“You shouldn’t sneak out like that, at least not without me.” Mia snickered and felt Zero’s cold hand brush pass her cheeks.  Mia snuggled her head into Zero’s side, most people though of Zero as cold, ignorant, and ruthless. But she though of him as a kind, gentle, warm, and handsome. Wait Handsome? The winter breeze blew passed them, the moon shined down on their pale skin, the water on Mia’s leg almost froze at the freezing temperature.

“Maybe we should go inside.” Mia teeth chattered together as she talked, she felt the warmth of Zero leave her and sat up to him standing over her. He was holding her socks and extending his hand. She smiled warmly and took his hand, he picked her up, which wasn’t a challenge, she was so light and petite she was almost a rag doll.  Mia stumbled abit as she got up and Zero turned to his back and wait for her to climb on.

“Your giving me a piggyback ride?” She asked with shock and laughter in her voice.

“You can’t walk, so get on”

Mia hesitated abit and finally climbed on his back; she wrapped her arms around his neck and shoulders. Zero grabbed her thighs gently and walked away from the pool with her on his back. She rested her head on the nape of his neck and started to drift to sleep. When Zero and Mia got to his room, he gently laid her on the bed and sat next to her body. Her strawberry hair was sprawled out on his pillow and her intoxicating blood scent drifted through his room. Zero felt pain in his chest and his eyes glowed a bright red. He went into a coughing fit, felt his throat dry up, his blood thirst grew and grew. He crawled off the bed and tried to find his blood tablets. He heard a loud cry come for someone.

Was it Mia or Yuuki?

Ghost

 Beep.... Beep.... Beep.... Beep

The slow beeping noise ran through the hospital room. Francine’s soft dark brown hair was sprawled out on the white pillows. Light breathing was heard in the room and the snow fell outside gently down to earth’s surface. The blue sky seemed some peaceful and calm; the white ice fell slowly and looked beautiful against the sky. Everything seemed so plain and blank in the hospital room, white walls, white floors, and white sheets. The heavenly white made everything simply quite, Gerard’s greasy hair spiked into different ways, black lines under his hazels eyes, two bands covered his cheeks and blood soaked cloth over his hand. That Car, That Car, That Car repeated in his mind over and over again. The disturbing sight of Francine lying on the ground in a poodle of her blood and trying to find her breath haunted his mind.  Francine stirred in her sleep and she could smell Gerard’s day on Tag scent and unwashed hair.

“It should be me in the hospital bed” He mumbled to himself.

‘Gerard! How is my bunny?” Mariana’s soft voice enters the room and Mikey followed behind her. Mariana held cherry blossoms to her chest and rushed over to Francine’s bedside.  Mariana placed the blossoms next to her and hoped on to the bed with her, brushing her hair out of her face. Mariana listened to her pulse and rubbed the palms of her bony hands. Francine could smell the cherry blossoms in her sleep and her eyes slightly opened. Mariana called out to Gerard, he jumped out of his skin and rushed to her bedside. Gerard held onto Francine’s hand and heard her heartbeats grow faster. He giggled abit and bit his lip to hold in the tears of joy. His sleeping beauty woke up from what could have been the death of her. Mariana kissed Francine’s cheek and pulled her and Mikey out of the room. Francine pulled her hand out of his hold and brushed it against his cheek.  His hazel eyes lost the shine they original had from the nights starting at Francine’s lifeless body. His pasty chapped lips graved her forehead gently; He lifted her small body into a hug and felt this odd feeling in the pit of his heart.

I’m Feel Complete.

Those words crossed his mind. He felt this wave of relief hit him as Francine’s arm wrapped tightly around him. He slide his hand into her long locks and held onto like she was falling. The sickness that has no cure, Love. He knew in the bottom of his heart that he loved her. Loved ever bone in her body, loved her smile, her eyes, her cute button nose, her beautiful pale skin, her freckles, her laughter, everything about her. But he felt guilty for not saving her; felt like he hurt her enough, but he couldn’t leave her, for her and himself.

“Gerard...say something sweet.... please” Her soft voice pleaded and dug her head into the nape of his neck.

“I would lie with you forever. In a field of flowers, of grass, anything, I don’t know where, or care. I just want to hold you forever; I don’t need anything or anyone besides you. We could just forget the world; lie with each other till we become too old. Just to be with you, hold you, breath next to you, feel you, kiss you, hug you, makes me feel complete. Would you lie with me?”  He pulled her head to look at him. She felt breathless, everything he said stayed in her mind. She felt tears coming to her eyes, the sweetest thing had just escape Gerard’s lips and it was all for her.

“Gerard, you know I would. I would do anything for you” Francine leaned her head under Gerard’s chin. She complete speechless, no words could tell him her love for him. He stroked her hair and kissed her cheeks.

‘I had a dream like that, you and I lying in field of grass. Lying there, together, in each others arms.”

“I want to hold you forever.”

“You sound like Edward Cullen” Gerard giggled abit and looked at Francine. He gently placed his lips on hers and held her. Francine’s heartbeat increased and she pressed her lips back. They both could hear Mariana and Mikey giggling and awing at them.

“Look how cute they are” Mariana said

“He is sooo gay’ Mikey said.

“HEY! Maybe you could be like that”

“What? I am the most romantic man ever!”

“Right, you glasses totally made me weak at the knees”
”HEY!” Francine and Gerard giggled at them and broke apart. Gerard held onto Francine and got lost into her scent, the smell of strawberries. How could she smell so good when she has been asleep for three days?

“Hey Frenchie” she missed being called that.

“Yes Gee?”

“I Love You”

Chapter2- Cherry Ice Cream Smile.

Zero woke up on his couch, scathing his head and looked up and saw Mia sitting on the ledge of his window, brushing her hair with her fingers. She peered out the window and the sunlight shined on her features.  Zero walked next to her and sat opposite to her. The deep cuts on her neck healed but the room reeked of her blood. 

‘Are there more vampires here?” she whisper.

“Yes, the academy is divided into night class and day class. The vampires are the night class and Yuuki and I protect the secret from the day class”

“Yuuki?” Mia turned her face away, seeing the sun finally set upon the sky.

“A friend”

An awkward silence came by, Mia looked at Zero and a sudden blush came to her face as she noticed Zero’s being topless. Zero glazed on into the academy grounds, looking at the garden staring at the single white rose in the batch of red. 

“How do you know if you’re a vampire?” Mia asked breaking the silence.

Zero stared at her, his mind drifted to the image of when he was a young boy, when his parents were murdered by a pureblood. Blood splattered everywhere, the lifeless body of his parents. Zero fought the urge to reach for his blood tablets.

“When you find a lust for blood, a single drop of blood could set you off” Zero staring at her deep in the eyes, Mia had fear in her eyes, and then she shoved her head down and spoke softly.

“Will you hate me if I become a vampire?”

Zero though for a moment and moved closer to Mia. He put his hand under her chin and forced her to look at him,

“No, I couldn’t.” A tear passed down her cheek and roughly rubbed the tears away.

“I’m Scared Zero.” She covered her face from Zero and couldn’t help having the tears falling.

“Mia, I promise nothing will happen.”

Mia finally looked up and him.

The tears went away.

You could hear her heavy breathing through the room.

Mia lunged at him and embraced him in a hug.  Zero hesitated to put his arms around her and run his hand up and down her back. He held her for a while and starting to hear the blood pumping in her blood.  His future level E vampire instances told him to sink his teeth in but he winced and dug his nails into his other arm. Mia sniffed his scent and felt a weird tingling sensation in belly.  The scent smelled delicious and intoxicating. Sweet, sweet mouth watering scent.  Kind of like an apple, the forbidden fruit of Genesis.  Zero looked her in the eyes then flashed to her neck, Blood Rushing, a tiny line of blood came out of a cut. He took his index finger and brushed the blood away.

“You have a bit of blood on your neck.” He whispered.

Mia froze at the cold touch and felt a rush of panic through out her body when Zero licked her blood of his finger.  He saw the fear in her eyes and brushed his hand on her cheek.

“I’m not going to hurt you Mia”

Mia ran her fingers through her hair and studied Zero’s face.

Amethyst Eyes. Shiny Sliver Hair. Thin Heart Shaped Face. Fleshed Colored Lips. Everything just perfect.

“Hey Zero, did Mia wake up?” Yuuki’s bright happy voice enters the room of silence. Yuuki saw Mia and adored the image of her and Zero right now. They looked like one of those adorable couple photos you could find on photo bucket.

“Hello I’m Yuuki Cross, pleasure to meet you” Yuuki’s short brown hair bounced as she moved. She smiled happily looking at Mia.

“I’m Mia, nice to meet you too.” Mia weakly shook Yuuki’s, she smiled at Yuuki’s happiness; it was like a passing disease. You see Yuuki’s lovely smile you start to smile.

 “You had us worried last night, we hope your okay”

“I hope I didn’t cause any trouble, I’ll be leaving now” Mia got up to walk away but Zero’s cold hand caught hers and held it for a while.

“No! You cant leave Mia, we gonna take care of you” Yuuki smiled and rubbed Mia’s back, Mia felt a wave of relief. She couldn’t go back into the world know these more of them.

‘So did Zero tell you about them?” Mia nodded her head and toyed with her fingers.

‘Well then, you’re a perfect now!” Zero and Mia looked at Yuuki stunned.

‘Headmaster Cross told Mia is a student of Cross Academy only if she wishes.” Yuuki brushed hair out Mia’s face and study the beauty of the new girl. Beautiful red orbs staring right back at her, strawberry colored hair bangs covering hypnotizing eyes.  Porcelain skin bouncing the sunrays of her body, Mia sat back down with Zero and toyed with his fingers. Zero felt blood rush to his face and covered his cheeks with his other hand. Yuuki giggled at Zero’s blushed and turn to walk out of the room.

“I’ll get your uniform, we’ll shop later Mia, Cya!” Yuuki practically yelled as she ran out of the room. Mia giggled at Yuuki’s brightness and turn to Zero. She saw his tinted pink cheeks; she bit her lip to the point of drawing blood.

“She seems ...happy”

“You have no clue”

Mia giggled a bit and took Zero’s chin and looked at him straight in the eye. Zero just stared at her.

“Are you blushing?”

“U-h-h N-n-o” Mia released his chin and kept giggling, Zero covered his laugh with a cough. Mia leaned her head on his shoulder and took a deep breath. So much in one morning, more vampires to come, a hyper girl, new students to deal with, Zero. Her mind stopped at Zero, she looked up at him, so cold, but so warm. Mia raised her hand and slid it into Zero’s sliver locks and snuggled her head into his shoulder.

“You come off as a cold person, when you’re warm” Zero leaned his head into her head, kinda like a puppy, He pulled her took to him and leaned in close.

“You know nothing about me”

“Cold sinister people don’t blush Zero” She smiled softly and Zero blushed more, he took his fingers away from her chin and brushed them against her cheek.
”I still need to know what happen to you’

‘I told you, I was attacked”

“But, just a small attack couldn’t cause big cuts like that” Zero dragged his finger against one of the cuts on her neck. Mia blushed a bit at the cold touch of the vamp- Human.

“The vampire had big red eyes and huge fangs, his voice was odd, blood all over him and..” she started to tremble at the though of the vampire.

“He was a Level E.”

“Level E, care to explain?”

‘Level E can only happen to pure Humans, who are biten by a Pureblood But, when these Level E vampires finally come to an end, or finally give up and need a lust for blood and start attacking the human race, thats when it really is called Level END.”

‘Wow, that’s very deep. Oh my god! Am going to be a vampire!” She had a panic attack and ran her spider like fingers through her hair and started to pull at the root.

“Relax” Zero put his hand over her mouth. Slience fell into the room, Mia’s heavy breathing stop and felt the blush ran off her face.

“I think your more dramatic then Yuuki.”
